June 8, 2024 San Francisco, CA – Launched in February 2024, the Korean American Restaurant Association of San Francisco (KARA SF) is a newly formed non-profit organization focused on supporting the needs of Korean American restaurant owners in the San Francisco area. Dedicated to protecting the interests of established immigrant restaurant owners, KARA SF provides resources for education, information sharing, and networking to strengthen the local Korean American restaurant community and contribute to the city’s vibrant cultural landscape.
With a vision of expanding the influence of Korean cuisine in harmony with San Francisco’s diverse cultural communities, KARA SF’s ultimate goal is to establish a food-centered “Korea Alley” in the Fillmore street. This initiative will celebrate cultural diversity, elevate Korean cuisine as part of the Korean Wave, and create a unique culinary destination for residents and visitors alike.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The SF Standard for its thoughtful coverage and support of our association. You can read the full story here.
